I notice that it's the same sponsors on the old episodes - also when they started the old days episodes on Five Life, is this where Five started from when they took over from ITV?

Yes they started from where Five took over from ITV. Five obviously dont have the rights to the earlier episodes.

Not surprised they show the same sponsors - Classic Corrie used to have the same sponsors and the episodes were at least 12 years old at the time. Infact when new sponsors used to debut they would be seen first on the 9am Classic Corrie first.

How anyone can call it the early years is beyond me lol. The early years are 1988 to the beginning of the 90's.

Remember that these episodes are roughly seven years old.

The "vintage" Emmerdale episodes on Granada Plus finished at late 1999/early 2000 after all.

And they were still calling Corrie on Granada Plus Classic Corrie when they had reached the Mid 1990s I think. Classic Corrie to me is the 60s/70s/80s.

Well, they couldn't call them "repeats" now could they?

We should be grateful they are showing older episode. I wish someone would repeat old episodes of my favourite soap Corrie. When Plus went off air they were up to 1994, so would have reached about 1997/8 now. Id love to see that era again.

Old Corrie would be perfect for about 3pm on ITV1 in the afternoon - they show Inspector Morse/Poirot/Midsommer Murders etc often enough.

Has the second version of the 2007 theme tune appeared on five yet?

Not yet - about another month to go.

Ive got used to the new theme now.

i felt so sorry for amanda when ethan turned up at the wedding, although she did some awful things when she first came to the bay i've really warmed to her lately. james on the other hand i've not taken to - and now i can see why!!
