I can't see what is wrong with being head to heda with Australia.

When Emmerdale started, it took a Summer break, I am sure Home & Away can have a Break for Christmas without losing any viewers in the UK.

I would rather be head to head and take a Christmas Break, than being two and a half months behind like we are now.

Does anybody else agree with this.?.

Me.

I don't think they need to start worrying too much now - I'd rather have a solid break for a few weeks than a day here and there.

Don't really understand either why they've began with the May Bank Holidays - you'd have thought they'd have taken it off at Easter too.

It's still over 2.5 months behind as it is.

I imagine the train of thought is that the odd episodes will add up over time. It eventually had to happen mind you.

Just wondering what people think of the 'early years' episodes now showing on five life? I stopped watching home and away when itv stopped showing it, and didn't start again until the end of the 2005 season so I've got a lot of catching up to do!

Does anyone know why Alsa was played by a different actress on the classic ones? Im guessing the original actress was ill or doing something else?

also, did anyone notice 'beth' as a social worker meeting with hayley etc to discuss the drop-in centre?

Judy Nunn who played Ailsa took ill during 200 and was replaced by the actress who has been appearing this week. I may be wrong but it may have been Glandular Fever. I think Judy will be back in a few weks, I am not keen on the actress who is replacing her. It feels like Ailsa is out of character.

I too was surpised to see Clarissa House doing a brief Guest Slot as a Social Worker, it will be the last time we see her for a while until she finally appears as Beth.

There is one good thing about these Early Years Episodes, we will get to see Morag again as later this year Cornelia will make her 2001 appearance, the first since 1993.
