but great ep all the same, lots of potential for summer bay in the following weeks.

It always seems to start early on Five life - usually about 6.28. I have taped both the five and five life episodes so cant wait to watch them.

It was not just the evermore clip which was cut, there were great chunks cut out from earlier on in the show, including the first verse of Silent Night, and an important scene concerning Sally and Brad.

Cuts aside, excellent Season Finale. Not quite as good as 2004's Christmas ep though!

On the subject of closing credits, i wonder what they will do on Saturday with the omnibus, will they use a special set of closing credits, or will they use the new closing credits, or use the old version.

I would imagine they would use the old credits to show that the eps are being repeated, as the omnibus is on fivelife anyway many viewers will only see the new credits for the first time on Mon. besides it will probs start with a "previously clip"

The cuts were so bloody obvious weren't they - though although tempting to blame Five (they could have adjusted their schedules slightly I suppose), it's the original editors I blame who seem incapable of keeping to their 22-23 minute slot.

And although overruns are quite common I believe on Aussie TV, a bet a few will have been furious if they'd taped the 7-7.30pm slot only for it to not end until 7.40pm.


Anyhow, overall not too bad. Although it was the comic relief, I think I'd have rather they cut the pagent scene completly and stuck with the drama.


P.S. Five Life EPG - useless. Gave it all away!

I know it's been said before on here, but I really don't think the guy now singing the theme tune sounds right. Also, it's been bugging me for a while now although it's not really relevant - but if martha and ric are both alf's grandchildren and therefore cousins, and martha and macca are brother & sister then why isn't macca alf's grandchild and also ric's cousin? if that makes sense?!
