Are the current opening titles not supposed to air as well for the last time, hope we get to see the tribute vid but knowing five we probably wont.

In the final ep for 2006 the titles played at the very start, so there was no review type thingy they do of the previous ep

I think it did run over time in Australia.. from about 7.05 to 7.40pm (and that included the video clip). So even without the clip it's a longer-than-usual episode. New Zealand did edit some scenes out, I hope Five don't do the same.
Just my 2c (I don't watch the show) - Home and Away running overtime is not exactly an uncommon occurance; it happens a lot (sometimes it's to do with the tabloid 'Today Tonight' show before it, but not always).

I might possibly post some caps if there's interest.

Well it shows on Five Life tomorrow. Amazing to think that this time two years ago we were only halfway through the 2004 season. We've caught up very quickly.

But they have not missed out any episodes over here. Its because of the breaks they have had in Australia over the past three years, in total about 4 months, hence why Britain have caught up.

Home and Away has a break for around a month every year for Christmas.

They take 6 weeks off a year in Oz so we catch up by that much every year.

Was that not after the Olympics, when Home and Away took a month of in Australia?

Will we in effect catch up though? The difference stays the same give or take a few weeks doesnt it?

I know that in Neighbours, it was about weeks difference to the 2005 Finale last year.

Much discussed. Jez worked it out - we'll probably be up to date by Christmas 2008, especially if 7 take a break for the 2008 Olympics (assuming they have the rights).
