I doubt Seven would have let Ireland air the episodes before Australia. Were still along way off though arent we. Similar gap with Neighbours, give or take a few weeks.

There was actually an occasion, don't ask how it happened, that Ireland did indeed broadcast one episode before it had aired in Australia. I believe they got a fine because of it too!

Fun Fact : New Zealand used to regularly be ahead of Australia on screenings of 'Blue Heelers'

Yes this did happen, RTE then accidentally (so they say)showed the same episodes on consecutive nights to fall behind again.

I've seen this Johnny storyline in full - and I'm afraid that it's still in full swing in Australia right now.

Can't believe we're already just three weeks off the Season Finale. Shows you how quickly we've caught up.

Daniel Bennett will soon be leaving as Executive Producer, and Julie McGuaran as Series Producer; the name of Daniel's replacement escapes me, but Cameron Welsh (used to play Mitch) is new Series Producer.

I understand that we can expect a few changes in the style of the show, which will be nice.

The 2007 season has only seen one "Who's Gonna Die" episode (and quite frankly for the sake of it) - which let me tell you has been a welcome improvement.

A few titbits to come...

- Rocco stabs Sally on Johnny's orders as you will know by now, however Rocco is murdered a few weeks later - with Ric framed as a "revenge attack". Ric's now currently doing time; I presume this is a write-out for Mark Furze's recent Soapstar Superstar apperance.

- Kit returns, knocked up - by Kim! It happened on the last night in the bush. Nobody is quite sure how they had the energy to barely breathe, let alone have sex... The one good thing in this is that we get Amy Mizzi back for 6 months. About time!

- Martha is also knocked up (oh dear...) by Ash, AFTER she discovers his secret that we learnt in the Season Finale. She persuades him to leave Rihanna for her... but Rihanna's also knocked up. By Ash again. She has an abortion, and has started drinking heavily at the point in the Aussie run I'm up to at the moment.

- Jack cops off with his physio Sam very soon, but I understand that this is going to go belly up when Martha goes off the rails.

MAJOR SPOILER!

Just found this on BBTB.

Please note that this has not been officially confirmed, however lots of sources are stating it...

Beth to die in a car crash!

A shame but the aftermath could potentially make for some incredible viewing.

Sounds like an action packed few months!

Im glad that Amy Mizzi is coming back as Kit.

I guessed that Jack would cop off with Sam the physio.

Season Finale week this week then!

Be interesting to see how Five handle the final episode, which was longer than usual in Australia (I've checked it here and without the Evermore video at the end it runs to 27 minutes, it's normally 21-22.)

I know it got cut in NZ but I hope it isn't cut here, it's one of the best H&A episodes for a while. Laughter, reflection, tears, surprises, a couple finally get it together... oh and a big f**k-off cliffhanger at the end!

It's the best bits of the 2004 finale mixed with a less pointless version of 2003's.

Knowing what Five are like, they will probably cut the tribute out after Sally has been stabbed and go straight to the closing credits.

I think the tribute thing at the end was added by channel 7 so I doubt we would get that anyway.

AFAIK TV3 in NZ didn't cut bits out, channel 7 did for the international episode because of time constraints. So chances are they might not play the video at the end. Anyway im sure a music channel will play the video. Its being played over here at the moment on C4. (nz free to air music channel)

You say it runs for 27mins without the Evermore video thing, how is that possible though? If i remember, when it aired in Oz it was the usual 7pm - 7.30pm, and would have had the usual 3 commericals - so did the drop a commercial, run over time ect?

I think it did run over time in Australia.. from about 7.05 to 7.40pm (and that included the video clip). So even without the clip it's a longer-than-usual episode. New Zealand did edit some scenes out, I hope Five don't do the same.

I think it be just about possible if Five start a couple of minutes early and finish a bit late - the US comedies in the 6.30pm slot generally run short so if they want to make the effort I'm sure they can.

I expect though they'll screw up the Five Life screening, with the next episode beginning before Five finish the finale.
