I was glad to see them go. They were a boring couple and Robbie was really irritating at times.
Agree - I liked Tasha at first but as a couple they were sickening. Matilda the only Hunter kid left now then - though Kit still returns for the major storylines.

I like Kit, not so keen on Matilda.

Inevitable someone, somewhere would have a go - but the new titles are much better though with the old song

The old song was preformed by The Robertson Bothers:

They even have the older 2000's music on their website (full).
IMO they are MUCH better than that Israel who did this year's, they should be brought back.

I don't mind the musical arrangement of the new opening, much less "plasticky" than the last two incarnations.
But the vocals are terrible.
I'd have had Mark Furze and Kate Ritchie duetting on it.

I like the musical arrangement on these as well. Just a shame they didnt get a better singer.
When we reach the start of the new season on Five we will only be 11 weeks behind. Sooner or later Five are going to have to take a break to avoid catching up. Personally I would prefer them to do this the same as Oz - 6 weeks at the end of the year/start of the New Year.

Hopefully rather than the random way the BBC drop Neighbours. I do like with Home and Away how on Five at least they are in synch so a week of Aussie episodes air from Monday to Friday here.
I agree taking the break when Oz do is the best - it usually finishes around the first week of December so I expect we'll end up a couple of weeks behind so it finishes just before Christmas, and then take a few weeks break in the New Year.
Anyone heard anymore about the teen soap Five were said to be commissioning - something along those lines could work well just to fill the gap, rather than Five commissiong a full week in, week out soap.

Well Neighbours reach the 2006 season finale next Wednesday so I see what you mean! But as Neighbours is dropped for Bank Holidays and the odd day over Christmas its practically impossible for them to show it on the 'right' weekday. Its only because Five have never taken it off air since it started airing it in 2001 that the episodes are in line with Oz.
Ive heard nothing about that new teen soap. I would have thought we would have heard by now if there was any truth in it as its been a while since it was first mentioned.

A "Back to the Bay" programme could be used as a filler at 6.30. Some of our residents in the bay talk us through some of there most memorible scenes, backstage stuff and classic clips.

Good idea. Five showed a Back to the Bay programme when it was off air for 12 months between 2000-2001.
