I wish they wouldnt keep brining people back from the "dead!"

I loved it when they brought back Bobby from the dead and she emerged as a ghost out of Ailsa's fridge.
Is Pippa ever mentioned in H&A these days - haven't seen it for about 10 years?!

She returns for all family weddings and funerals, last seen I think when Flynn died.

That's one thing I like about Home and Away, they're pretty good at getting old cast members back for events you'd expect their characters to return for.

Neighbours brought a load back for the 10th birthday but normally they dont get former cast members to come back as often as Home and Away.

That was pathetic though - Neighbours had some pathetic storyline about making a documentary about the Street, and featured most of the former characters as part of a video, not on the set itself.

Home and Away usually do it for birthdays, weddings and funerals - all of which end in disaster of course! Wink

Home and Away is the better of the 2 aussie soaps although I do think Home and Away is more far fetched.

You don't say. I think I do enjoy Home and Away most when it's in it's "normal" state, or "abnormal" - which ever way you want to look at it. So often the big storylines have come along and ruined some of the great smaller storylines.

Neighbours really has lost it's way in recent years - it's like they've some how tried to take it upmarket, but failed miserably!

Neighbours is still more realistic than Home and Away though.

Excellent episode on FIVE Life tonight - the looks on Dan and Leah's faces when Peter Baker walked in.

To think of the high point that Neighbours was at a few years ago with the famous Izzy/Susan/Karl confrontation in the street. It hasn't half went downhill since.

Not long to go now. About 7 weeks. Rocco has just arrived and I understand that character will be central to the season finale.

Home and Away has been excellent this week. Ive loved all the storylines surrounding Peter return to the bay, and the Rocco storyline looks good too.

Anyone got any spoilers of whats happening in Oz at the moment?

Hardly! Neighbours was much more upmarket in its heyday - all the families were pretty much middle class, business and multinational corporations dominated much of the story as did the yuppie culture of the eighties. Likewise, there weren't any "bogan" characters like there are now (i.e. chav families) and the whole appearance of the show was much slicker and classier.
