I have to agree Alf's 60th birthday episode was great. Home And Away seems to have the knack of bringing back old characters, and it was a nice touch to see Blake and Sophie get back together again. Pippa looks well and I hear she's going to be back for a 6 month stint soon. Bit of a shock them killing Chloe off but if she's never going to return it did create the drama. And I agree Neighbours 20th anniversay episode wasn't much cop at all. A real shame none of the big names agreed to come back, and those that did well it would've been nice to actually see them back on Ramsay Street.


Have the old ones gone now, or will they stay around for a while.?.

In view of the current storyline have they just vanished them?

Another oddity about the 4000th episode, as well as Ric leaving the house he lives at, all the other guests left, despite having stayed either at the house or Caravan Park the previous night. Surely the night after the party they'd be just as inclined to stay at the house as the night before.

Anyhow, great episodes this week - despite losing track of the number of "killer" storylines over the last year or so!

Chloe was giving Alf, Martha, Ric and Kim a lift into the city apparently. Thats why Ric went with them.

All the other returning characters, apart from maybe Duncan, have gone now.

Anyway ive heard there will be a number of cast changes in upcoming uk episodes. Jessie, Hayley, Scott and Flynn are all leaving, and we have a new family (the Holdens) arriving. Ella Scott Lynch also takes over the role of Hayley for her last few months on screen.

Flynn dies, the s**t hits the fan as the paternity storyline is resolved, Barry and Irene split up, Irene loses custody of Olivia, and Martha and Irene are screwed over by new kid in town, Corey Holden.

In May, a massive cyclone is coming and someone will die, and Zoe/Eve makes a return as well.

It's not the only one, Phil, so not sure why it's being singled it out.

I guess there just hasn't been enough interesting presentation development recently to fill the forum pages.

Anyway on the subject of presentation, the Home and Away credits have been updated in Australia to include the new Hayley (Ella Scott Lynch)

I fail to see what your signature has to do with TV presentation! Wink

H&A is a TV show, and presentation issues (eg. HD, censorship, credits etc.) have been discussed in the past and will be again, I'm sure.

Like Neil said, why single this thread out?

That was my thought when I learned about the recast, however feedback on H&A forums and the Australian press has been very good. I've only seen a few clips of Ella as Hayley, so I'll reserve judgement until she appears on screen over here (in February).

Well she doesn't look like Rebecca Cartwright but I guess neither did the current Flynn look anything like the old one.
By the way does anyone know if Blake and Sophie are back in it at all again?

Does Hayley change overnight or does she go away and come back? They could at least have died her hair blonde!

I think she's off-screen for about a week. She goes to.. (wait for it).. the city!
