Why do soap super-villians die before they can face justice? Richard Hillman, Toby Mills, Steven Mackintosh and now Zoe McAllister. This let down an otherwise compelling storyline. Then the inevitable kiss between Peter and colleague - talk about contrived.

I thought Wednesday's eppy was the best one this year.

I just hope that after Neighbours' 20th, the 4000th gets the publicity it deserves this December.

I thought that the 4000th episode was very good.

It looks like there are plenty of great events going on in the future.

: Arrow Zoe-Eve will make a return in the spring.

Does anybody know if Cornelia Frances, is going to sppear on the opening credits when the show resumes in January, in Australia.?.

I thought the 4000th episode was great. It was nice to see so many old characters back like Blake, Sophie, Fisher, Will, and of course Pippa. Sally's speech was very moving, however I get the feeling they did that as Sally and Alf are the only original cast members left now, as I didnt think they were that close on screen?

Episode 4001 which is being shown tonight is even better apparently.

A very good 4000th. edition. Five have axed the weekend omnibus, with the last one this Saturday.

Loved the 4000th episode - a great nostalgia trip that Home and Away always do very well. Unlike Neighbours pathetic effort earlier this year, it was very well done with ex-residents coming back to celebrate Alf's 60th birthday.

One question though - why was Ric in the car when he lives with Sally?

As for 4001 - again very good and very well done, though it was obvious from the start that as they concentrated on one character being so ill, it be the other one that dies!

I have to agree Alf's 60th birthday episode was great. Home And Away seems to have the knack of bringing back old characters, and it was a nice touch to see Blake and Sophie get back together again. Pippa looks well and I hear she's going to be back for a 6 month stint soon. Bit of a shock them killing Chloe off but if she's never going to return it did create the drama. And I agree Neighbours 20th anniversay episode wasn't much cop at all. A real shame none of the big names agreed to come back, and those that did well it would've been nice to actually see them back on Ramsay Street.

RTE has gone 2 episodes behind Five, I wonder why RTE has let this happen?
