There was an announcement recently that Mike Myers wanted to do a Dr.Evil spin off film that didn't feature Austin at all, instead of doing Part 4

Bad move. I'm fearing this is a similar case with Evan Almighty seeing as Jim Carrey and Jennifer Aniston declined to star in a sequel.

Not really, since Mike Myers is the only one who counts in Austin Powers and he has agreed to it!
