He was doomed the minute he was born really, but Jake and Nancy are set to be devistated by the news that Charlie is suffering from Lukemia - which presumably handily brings the issue of Charlie's real father back into the frame.
Interesting. Jake's character is turning very nasty nowadays!
Within hours of Charlie being rushed into hospital, it's established he has leukaemia, there is no bone-marrow match on the national data base, Jake isn't a match and that he's not the father either!
Well, he's not quite left the show yet but it looks like he's left Hollyoaks. Wasn't fully expecting that tonight and although we've known for quite some time he was going, it's still a bit of a shock to see OB's exit storyline playing out. It really is the end of an era.
Basically Hollyoaks plan to have storylines which start on screen and then play out on broadband or mobile, generally filling in the gap from Friday to Monday. However, it's not exactly new - one of the first things Brian Kirkwood did when he took over was axe the "Hollyoaks Weekender", which is basically exactly what this would be.

So "Summer" was planted in Hollyoaks by Andrew Lloyd Webber - though the idea actually came from the current producers while they were still at Corrie before How Do you Solve A Problem Like Maria?
I knew Summer Strallen was off to star in The Sound of Music in real life, but I'd assumed that's why she was quitting so quickly, not that the character had been planted with that in mind. Probably the reason too they used the actresses real name for the character.
Anyhow, it's something different, but I can only wish her the worst of luck in her new West End role in the hope she returns to Hollyoaks some day soon - as frankly she's one of the best new characters in a long time.
Where did Josh's sudden bout of depression come from?
Anyhow, what do people think about Summer's exit storyline in relation to OB - is she stealing his thunder, or is it a good way to be writing OB out after 10 years?
I think storyline wise it has been on. Are they leaving both at the same time (same episode?). I'd prefer it if she left, and then he went a week later.
