Brilliant new promo aired before tonight's E4 screening - quite a lengthy one too featuring most of the cast "behind the scenes". Quite reminisent of "the one to watch" promos 7 did down under. Catch it on E4+1 at 7.55pm if you're quick!
Also, however many break-ups there are in Hollyoaks and soaps in general, none are as effective as when it's Max and OB.
P.S. Great to see Kathy going mad again too - looking forward to her exit storyline.

That's the point. It's been a long time since Hollyoaks has done a promo along those lines - for the last few years they've all mainly been using clips out of the show, with the exception of the Who Killed Claire promo (which I don't think I ever saw on TV.)
There's probably been one since, but the last campaign based more around the cast rather than the storylines that I can recall was around the time the Hunters arrived - so a good 6-7 years ago.
It's about building the brand, and nowadays it's about getting into the MySpace world etc. Like the Skins promo last year, this is probably designed with that in mind just as much, and I'm sure it's the sort of clip people will find and then link too.
Another "who is it?" - an older woman about half way through the longer promo. I thought at first it might be Samantha Giles, but I don't think it is.
Only criticism I'd have is that they should have used the Hollyoaks logo at the end, especially as for many viewers it's E4 where they watch the show.
