Good episodes tonight, I just feel like slapping Amy now. It's her fault she got pregnant for being an irresponsible little bint, she has to stop whining and being petulant towards her mother who is trying to help in her own deranged way.
Liked the stuff with Aleksander and Carmel - what a couple!
Completly agree with all the comments about Aleksanda and Carmel - after a few more dramatic weeks it's good to have a lighter week. Loved all the stuff with Tom modelling too - tongue firmly in cheek but it was brilliant.
Re: Max and OB. Basically mates for years. Every couple of years they have a big falling out and don't talk to each other for months (usually over a girl) before an insignificant event brings them back together again (this time it began with an incident when Josh and Fletch were fighting). Throw in the odd joke about them being gay fathers and a few dodgy scams and that's Max and OB for you!
Pretty common theme running through Hollyoaks over the last few years is generally when they bring a family in one of the sons has a friend and they fill the comedy double act role when required.
Stan and Ollie were the original Max and OB - and I suppose Kurt and Jambo in a way too.
Lee and Bombhead, Rhys and Gilly and Josh and Fletch all take the same kind of role to various degrees of success too as well.
Ah right, i had notice the similar line ups appearing.
Now i use to watch on and off before April 2006, so if you dont mind....
- What happend to Mark, that man Jess was seeing.
- If memory serves me right, Ali stabbed Maccy , Ali ran away and was hit by a car (summer 05 i think). Justin got charged with Maccys death, was it ever overturned. I remember him on the run, and meeting with Nicole.
Mark was only in a couple of weeks and fled after finding out about Jessica and Gilly.
Re: the break bumpers - not seen any new ones since last week, and roughly speaking from memory they seem to be appearing in the same order this week as they did last week.
P.S. Now Becca's gone who are the longest running characters, particularly the females?
Tony is obviously at the top, with Max and OB not far behind - while Jack has been around a while too.
I'd guess Steph would be the longest surviving female now as I recall she was in it a while before the family came along - but apart from her I think all the girls in the show now have only been around a couple of years at most - I'd guess either Jess or Louise have been around the longest.
Hollyoaks characters Craig Dean and John-Paul McQueen are to embark on a relationship, it has been confirmed.
A confused Craig, played by Guy Burnet, finally gives in to his feelings for his besotted best friend, actor James Sutton, following their on-screen kiss last month.
A spokesperson for the soap said: "Craig faces turmoil as he battles with his desires for both John-Paul and Sarah.
"When John-Paul realises the true extent of Craig's feelings, the boys embark on a relationship that will blow their friendships apart."
My thoughts exactly. Sounds like a good spring/summer storyline. I'm sure Hollyoaks will do this quite sensitively, especially if it results in the exit for one or both characters.
What hints have there been? We know that Craig likes JP and a friend but i guess when he got drunk and "that kiss" could have indicated something.
I think Brekkie said before that a late night special around the McQueens would be good, and with these two now becoming more serious, it could all explode on a late nighter.
