Anyhow, back on this side of the world...

Davey didn't seem quite as bad tonight as when he last appeared - quite funny at times infact. And Tom is outacting them all once again.

Looks like the baby situation will eventually put the Ashworths at the centre of the storyline.

They've already planted the seed of people suspecting Rhys is the father and of course Suzanne is the only one to know the truth about the pregnancy.

In the beginning I thought Kathy was actually being too nice for her character in relation to the baby, but actually they've probalby got it spot on considering she has already shown she'll go to ANY lengths to protect her children.

I think Kathy is misunderstood by a lot of people. I think she is the sort of mother i'd want because although she can be harsh with rules ect, there is a heart inside her.

Or have i totally missed the point Razz

Also, a lot of the older cast are missing from the opening titles, talk about agest!

Its more to do with the fact the older characters take a back seat in Hollyoaks I think.

Yeah i guess, but it would be nice to see them. A Neighbours type style would have been better, without floating planes and hot air balloons.

Some spoilers...

-Kris's brother Malachy comes to visit, and sleeps with Jessica!
-Mercedes wakes up with Warren, as Russ confides in Carmel his plans to marry Mercedes.

This isn't Neighbours - and their opening credits are one of the worst ever!

The "oldies" have always been very much in supporting roles - it's only recently they've ever been credited by their character names actually. Until a few years ago it was always "Mr Davies", "Mrs Morgan" etc.

I think Mr C is the only "oldie" to have ever crept into the title sequence.

However, though right IMO to keep them out of the titles, I do think they should at least get a break bumper - either a special "oldie" one, or incorporating them with their relevant families.

Talking of the breaks - only seen five versions so far, and they seem to use the Claire and Louise one virtually every day.

Agree, not in the titles, but nothing wrong with having a break-bumper with the Dean-Cunningham clan showing Frankie & Jack in the background, And Myra could easily be in the McQueen B-B.

I remember Mr C was in the 1999-2001 credits as was Mrs C I think. I remember they used to credit them as "Mr Cunningham" "Mrs Benson" etc on the closing credits, however im sure Helen Cunningham was credited by her first name? Possibly because she changed her surname when she married Mr C?

The cast - short bios and pics - are up on the Hollyoaks site. John Lolis who plays Aleksander is on there, does this mean hes going to be around for a while?

A funny episode tonight on Channel 4. I don't suppose anyone could fill me in on the history of O.B and Max. I know they have been best friends for years, i am just wondering if they came in the show together ect, how it happened.

I would definately of thought so, it looks like it could be a big storyline.

I think Max was in it first with his family and OB (aka Sam) was then introduced in a semi regular role as one of his school mates, along with another schoolmate called Sacha (who, as he had a little more luck with the girls, eventually disappeared).

Yes Max was in it first with his family, the Cunninghams. I believe a different actor played Max at first.

I agree, a great episode tonight on C4. Its obvious Carmel likes Jacqui's fella.
