Hollyoaks - Weekdays 6.30pm C4, 7pm E4

Really like the break stings actually.


Already thinking they'd work better as the opening titles, with the series of stings used to cover all the characters.

I just rewatched the titles and instantly they improved. They are growers I think. Even the logo is okay on second viewing.

Got this show on in the background...It's absolutely dire. There are many bad shows on TV but my god this is in a league of it's own. I can't believe it's the same show that in the last few days some of you have said was "By far the best soap" and "His performance is Oscar worthy"

Apart from the fact that the new logo looks similar to the one for THE LOFT, it makes the programme look like a porn channel

Watched them a few time and actually really growing to like them.


Cast wise - can't spot Fletch (of Josh and Fletch!)


I'm getting my blondes mixed up though.

Claire is definately in the break sting and I think it's her near the end of the titles, but it could be Zoe. There is another shot earlier in of another blonde and I'm guessing it's the other one - but it really does look like Lisa Hunter. There were rumours she'd return after In the City - but really there is little for the character to return for now.


It's the beginning and end of the titles which seem weak - the eye opening isn't too bad, but the ending looks awful with the logo just appearing on the white and zooming out in the style of the old titles.

They'd be better off doing it in the style of the break stings (which look fantastic) - perhaps with the whole cast incorporated into it.


Hope C4 or E4 tonight allow the credits to play out without the ECP. If not, best bet is the E4 repeat tomorrow at 4.30pm.

I'm suspecting they might be white with black text rather than black on white - perhaps with the break sting images where the ECP covers.

the new titles look very 'young' don't they. You'd equate them more to something like Grange Hill or Byker Grove rather than Coronation St.

Well what an anit-climax that was. That's the end of the real drama. Now this may sound stupid, but ive only been watching Hollyoaks full time since April 06, and the titles before today really went well, especially the tune.

Todays new look is appaling, ok they might be classy and sexy - but this just gives all those who think that Hollyoaks is full of brainless bimbos and hunks who cant act some ammunition.

That said, i guess i'll have to get use to it. Bring back the old music!
