Hollyoaks - Weekdays 6.30pm C4, 7pm E4

They will take some getting used to. I like the titles and music but.. Oh god, the logo? It's hideous.

And they updated the font for the Writer / Director!

They'll get extra viewers tonight though, the ones who watched on E4 on Friday and again today to see the titles after all the hype.

I hated it all. Looks so cheesy!

I'm sure in ... a lot of time... we will all warm to them. Though the logo, I just couldn't believe it.

what's so horrific about the logo? it's just a plain capitalised font isn't it?

Does look more like a promo than opening sequence to be honest.


Should be easier for them to update though as it's all cut together rather than a continuous sequence of clips.

Um, on a white background, with the O's in the gender symbols. Maybe I'll warm to it.

A bad font at that - but it's the male / female thing which is the worst.

Hollyoaks had only just begun using their long term logo in the titles - and it was a pretty decent logo at that.


P.S. Any noticable absenses in the titles?

Well I liked them. I don't love them yet but they may grow on me. The logo's not that bad.

Ooh - I like the break stings. The logo works much better that way.

Yeah the logo's not bad, its the titles and music im not keen on. They look so tacky.

At the end of the day, they're fresh. IMO, anything's better than the set we had. The music will take some getting used to but the titles themselves are quite good, and they'll be a lot easier to update when new characters arrive, and when characters leave. You can just film the new character dancing for a couple of seconds and slot them in.
