Hollyoaks - Weekdays 6.30pm C4, 7pm E4

The official press release (see the Lime Pictures site) always said that the new titles would air first on Monday at 6.30 and I still think they will.

I think they will too. Tomorrow at 6.30 is the time to wait for.

Believe it when I see it.


If that is the case, it's a right smack in the face for the loyal E4 viewers.


I could understand why with a couple of episodes they held them back to premiere on C4 (the fire and the Christmas episode), but being so protective about something frankly people don't care as much about as we think they do is petty!


Be strange though to have a direct comparison of two episodes if it is the case. I wonder if the E4 repeat of Mondays episode on Tuesday afternoon would use the new or old titles.

I missed the end of both Friday's C4/E4 - were the credits black or not?

They weren't black on E4, pad.

I like the current theme tune of Hollyoaks, i just hope it's not ruined. Someone won a competition to add a contemporary twist to the theme.

I guess it's because they didn't want to launch the new titles on E4 and then use the "old" ones on the omnibus episode - which is effectively a newer episode than Friday's first look.

It would have looked a bit disorganised if you think about it, I'm glad they're doing it all on the same day.

The omnibus only shows the 5 episodes shown on C4 that week though doesnt it and not the Friday first look E4 episode?

Didn't bother them last time around - and if people are watching the Friday first look, it's unlikely they'll be watching the omnibus too!


Talking of the omnibus, anyone know how well it's doing for T4 nowadays?

It seems to have lost a regular slot - usually it's around 10am but can be up to half an hour either way.

Probably due to the hype these ones got.

Apparently the new titles 'grow on you' and the music is essentially the same but 'much faster'. No chance of the old-school tune then.
