Ive only just seen the HITC finale and thoroughly enjoyed it.
I agree with Jez that 20 episodes was too much and I also missed quite a few but dont feel as if Ive missed out on any storylines at all!
That was a good twist at the end and I had not even thought about that scenario!
WEll done to E4 - how about a 12 part series next time?

Yes the finale was very good. I started off watching the show for a few weeks and then dipped in and out right up to the end.

You know, the catch-up episodes on Fri (6-7.45pm) on E4, are they all same as Weds, and Thurs 6-7pm episodes on C4? (and if so, why is there 15mins lost?)

There is an E4 catch up on Friday, then Hollyoaks returns for 2007 (hopefully with brand new titles, hopefully!) on Tuesday 2nd January at 6pm on C4.

A brilliant hour-long edition of Hollyoaks today on C4 - the best episode since the last time I said that!
It played out as two episodes but really was one - and it had a great cliffhanger which is probably worthy of more than a 24 hour wait, but 24 hours is long enough.
I know spoilers have suggested the outcome, but it wouldn't be the first time they were wrong so I am tuning in tomorrow unsure which way events will really go!

Don't worry, you're right!
Although officially it was two episodes it really was an hour long special - we were still on Christmas Day with everyone else in the pub.

The first half of tonights episode was the one shown on E4 on Friday right? I hope so as I only taped the 2nd part.

Absolutly fantastic tonight. Did you all cheer when O.B punched Clare? I know its wrong and all that but god did she deserve it.
The second episode tonight was one of the best of the year. Would have made for a great finale if they did one. I really hope they win awards at the British soap awards next year for this current storyline.

They deserve the credit, but not winning is no big loss.
Not sure either on the best storyline of the year - the week of late night specials with Andy, Baby Grace's death, the fire or this.
Certainly I'd say this has been the best continuing storyline, but as for best episode it's very close between Grace's death and the fire - I think I'd go for Baby Grace's death.
