I was hoping that to celebrate 10 years C4/E4 would screen a selection of classic episodes, covering all title sequences of course.
I thought T4 might do something next Sunday, but there is nothing at all. T4 did repeat the very first edition of Hollyoaks back in 1999 (for T4's 1st birthday), and one thing that stood out was no one spoke for about ten minutes - we just had the Hollyoaks theme playing!
I have that first episode on video somewhere from when they showed it on T4 in 1999/2000. The first set of opening credits only had Kurt, Tony, Maddie, Jambo, Louise, Natasha and Dawn.
Still yet to get an ECP free credits - I think E4's 4.30pm repeats are the best chance. The endcap hasn't been updated either!
I wonder if the T4 omnibus credits will remain generic, or whether they'll use the Hollyoaks end-credit sequence as they never seem to talk over it as they used to anyway!
A strange thing also on E4 tonight - about 5 minutes in the E4 programme menu trail started playing over Hollyoaks, though it played without the background (i.e. the purple), so we had a massive E4 logo in the middle of the screen then the show names zooming out on the left.

Saw the new titles for the first time tonight, they are much better than the previous set. However there seem to be only a small amount of the cast on them.
Has anyone captured them? I did see them last night but i've got the last set from TV Whirl in WMV format so it would go well with that!
And i still want the Let Loose titles!
On the website,they said they'd update them regularly!
It be interesting to see if they actually do update them regularly. They say they will now, but I bet they'll do it once then leave it another two years!
Tuned into the 4.30 E4 repeat of last nights C4 episodes in the hope of an ECP free credits, but no luck, though they have now updated the endcap!
And back to Hollyoaks themselves - as well as there being no special programmes or anything, there isn't really a big storyline to mark the 10th anniversary, though one character will be on the brink of death!
If they do die however, they'll be having to update the titles sooner rather than later!
First episode of the trial was quite good - though I'll admit I may have been wrong about the Demon Headmaster - didn't see him on that show, though I'm sure I've read it so perhaps he crops up later.
Also, re: Macki's mate - was he ever seen with him when he was alive?
Plus are Claire King and the others judges etc. playing the same characters they did in The Courtroom?
As for the clearout - well, it's being done in dribs and drabs. Only Lee remains of the Hunters, and he'll be off to Emmerdale soon. Cameron and Zara rumoured to be leaving at Christmas. Other names rumoured for the axe are Darren, plus Richard and Darlene - which depending on the trial, will probably see them go in the next couple of weeks.
In other news, Hollyoaks are currently filming some late night Christmas specials. I hope they are better than the last lot, which were spread out over a week but would have been much better as a one-off hour long special. The one-off psychic episode in May though was fantastic!
I am not a fan of Hollyoaks, but when I turned on the TV last week (it was still on C4 from when I was watching something else) , I thaught the courtroom had made a reappearance!
