Michaela (Hollie-Jay Bowes) and Amy (Ashley Slanina-Davies) battle for Ste's (Kieron Richardson) affections, then Amy raises the stakes and suggests something he'll like. Nancy (Jessica Fox) is sure that Foz (Benjamin Hart) is up to something, and she's furious when she finds him in the village with a mystery woman. Hannah (Emma Rigby) and Sarah (Loui Batley) spend time with Jon Paul (James Sutton) and Craig (Guy Burnet) in the Loft, and Craig's hopeful about getting together with Sarah.
Josh (Sonny Flood), Fletch (Sam Darbyshire), Michaela (Hollie-Jay Bowes) and Ste (Kieron Richardson) are dazed as they each come round following the crash. But Amy (Ashley Slanina-Davies) isn't moving and Ste flees the scene. Craig (Guy Burnet) is delighted when Sarah (Loui Batley) asks him to help with her English essay. And Nancy (Jessica Fox) is encouraged to stand up for what she believes in and act on proving Becca's (Ali Bastian) innocence.
The Barnes family pull together as they wait for news at Amy's (Ashley Slanina-Davies) hospital bedside. Nancy (Jessica Fox) begins a campaign to prove Becca's (Ali Bastian) innocence. Max (Matt Littler) is excited about the prospect of starting a family and eager to give Tom (Ellis Hollins) some stability. But he's blissfully unaware that Clare (Gemma Bissix) has her own agenda; and it definitely doesn't involve kids.
Amy (Ashley Slanina-Davies) is scared as she relives the crash, then remembers the baby; do her parents know her secret? Fletch (Sam Darbyshire) sees red when he finds Ste (Kieron Richardson) hiding in the village. Max (Matt Littler) is keen to make things right with Clare (Gemma Bissix) and apologises for telling Tom (Ellis Hollins) about the baby, but she's not giving in easily.
The kids are up in court following their joyriding antics. Amy (Ashley Slanina-Davies) desperately needs Michaela (Hollie-Jay Bowes) but Michaela isn't interested; everyone's blaming her when it's all Amy's fault. There's chaos at the McQueens' as they prepare for Mercedes' (Jennifer Metcalfe) birthday party, but Michaela's got a court appearance to make first. And Max (Matt Littler), Clare (Gemma Bissix) and Tom (Ellis Hollins) head off for Tom's school show, but Clare gets a call from Warren (Jamie Lomas)...
Yep, sounds good. Should we post the synopsis for the weeks ahead from C4Sales (where i read about that last week), or what?
Go on then - just spoiler tag it to be on the safe side. I've abandoned the C4 Sales site since it's revamp - when will people learn that content and simplicity is way better than flashy graphics!
Josh and Fletch have reappeared tonight.
One thought - with Becca going, where does that leave Nancy. Loved the line tonight from her to Foz, along the lines of "I started dating a tattooist and now I'm dating a lecturer"
Good to see they are giving the kids a great storyline - and hopefully this should bring in the parents a bit more too.
There has been so many rumours about Hollyoaks in the last few months I've lost track, but I'm sure at some point they said they'd be bringing in a family based around Ste too.
I guess then this is the 11th birthday storyline - something bad always happens this time of year!
For the big big storylines it's advertised pretty well - and for a time at the beginning of the year they were doing trailers for each week's of episodes.
What they really need is a big promo campaign like they did a few years ago based around the characters. As I've said before, a "Meet the McQueens" campaign would be a good place to start.
Warren (Jamie Lomas) and Clare's (Gemma Bissix) flirtation reaches new heights. Max (Matt Littler) looks for Clare to resolve matters, but what will he walk in on? Amy (Ashley Slanina-Davies) feels isolated by Ste's (Kieron Richardson) indifference towards her and Michaela's (Hollie-Jay Bowes) outright rejection of her. Mercedes (Jennifer Metcalfe) is making the most of her live-in lover. And Jacqui (Claire Cooper) lays her cards on the table; Tony (Nick Pickard) is delighted with their re-defined relationship.
Clare (Gemma Bissix) is taken aback by Max's (Matt Littler) sincerity and tells him that she thinks she's pregnant. Will (Oliver Farnworth) and Jessica (Jennifer Biddall) compete to become editor of the student newspaper. And Jacqui (Claire Cooper) is miffed as a quiet drink with Tony (Nick Pickard) becomes an open function.
Carmel (Gemma Merna) is worse for wear, whereas Jacqui (Claire Cooper) can't wipe the smile off her face after last night's antics. Clare (Gemma Bissix) wonders how to deal with her situation, when Max (Matt Littler) produces a pregnancy test. And the Osbornes and the Deans return to the village, ready to open the newly refurbished Dog in the Pond.
Clare (Gemma Bissix) and Max's (Matt Littler) relationship hangs in the balance after last night's revelation. Tony (Nick Pickard) and Jacqui (Claire Cooper) enjoy the ease of their relationship, much to the annoyance of O.B. (Darren Jeffries). Steph (Carley Stenson) longs for greater things as Jack (James McKenna) and Frankie (Helen Pearson) put pressure on her to help out at The Dog. And Jessica (Jennifer Biddall) is struggling for the hard-hitting topic she needs for the editor job, until Kris (Gerard McCarthy) gives her an idea.
It's the grand re-opening of The Dog and Jack (James McKenna) makes sure everyone's left wondering who the mystery guest is going to be. Max (Matt Littler) struggles to cope in the wake of Clare's (Gemma Bissix) departure. Zoe (Zoë Lister) is reluctant to return to The Dog, but Zak (Kent Riley) persuades her, much to the annoyance of Will (Oliver Farnworth). And it's Carmel (Gemma Merna) and O.B's (Darren Jeffries) first date; O.B's big mouth does little to relieve Carmel's insecurity.
Two pieces of casting news - firstly Julie Goodyear is to have a guest role in the show as a landlady.
Not sure when - a question on Ant and Dec suggested she'd just signed up, while the soap pages on Teletext say in "recent episodes" - but this week there is a storyline with Jack and Frankie at their strict B&B - so that could be when she appears.
Secondly Elaine Tan - who played Gucci in Hollyoaks: In the City - has announced that she is quitting acting and instead joining the cast of EastEnders.
One of the soap mags said Julie Goodyear was joining but I forgot to post it. Apparently she will have a red wig and look more like Reet than Bet Lynch!
