I'll be surprised if we get totally different titles to be honest. Usually they dont change the titles after just 1 year - more like 2 or 3.

The production team has changed since then though - I think they'll want to put their mark on it.

Has it been confirmed who dies yet?

I assume
the twins both die

No confirmation - it be a shame to lose the twins actually - I think there is a bit more potential for them as character now than when they were just students.

Also, re: Hollyoaks - In the City. With Let Loose E4 repeated the entire series again in the Winter. If you've missed a couple though I don't think you'll have too much difficulty working out what has happened - the "Previously on..." segment helps too!

Talking of that - they did the same with Let Loose last year, with the theme tune bedding being integrated really well into the opening scene in the first episode, but then just being cut to fit the slot in later episodes.

Also like Let Loose the titles change each week dependent on who is in it (i.e. Kym Marsh wasn't in this episode, so was dropped, with Millie added into the titles).

(Note - another reason I suspect the titles may change - last year they began using the official Hollyoaks logo in both the main show and Let Loose for the first time, but for In the City it's no where to be seen, when really you'd think if they were trying to build it as a brand it would have been incorporated).

P.P.S. From a week on Monday E4 will be screening (the axed) Home and Away spin off "Headland" at 7.30pm. No idea on the overall standard, but the titles are pretty good!

I saw the first 3 weeks worth of episodes last November - although the first 3/4 episodes were great it did go off the boil VERY quickly and to be honest, the network seem to give up as well. It started off as two 60 minute episodes a week - by the third week and over Christmas & New Year it was shown for 30 minutes everyday (excluding Saturday's and Sunday's)!!!! I wasn't surprised that by the time I got back to the UK I found out it had been cancelled.

PS It was very strange to see big Sam Allardyce (Manager of Bolton Wanderers) being interviewed by Australian news-hounds on the networks over there - he was signing a junior kid to play/train/learn at Bolton's academy

Well it took them long enough to screen this! I guess if it hadnt have been axed we would have seen it sooner.

Is it on every night or just Mondays?

It's nightly - I assume if some episodes were 30 minutes the hour-long episodes will be split in two.

And to think I had foolishly assumed that E4 might be sacrificing half an hour of Friends!

'headLand' confirmed for E4
Saturday, September 2 2006, 09:47 BST - by Kris Green

Soap fanatics will be pleased to hear that C4 have finally confirmed when the now-axed-Down-Under university-based soap headLand will premiere.

The show - from the creators of Home & Away - is to air from Monday, September 11 at 7.30pm Monday through Friday on E4.

The first series comprises 52 episodes and production had already started on a second series before the first had even aired in Australia. Filming for series two ground to a halt when the show was axed in Oz due to flagging ratings. As it stands, there is still a major stockpile of episodes to air in its home country.

After using the same trailer since launch, E4 have finally changed their "In the City" trailer now, giving the show the tagline that it's "like the Godfather"!

The new students are all growing on me - with some more deadwood being cleared out this week I think by next week we'll have seen at least half the cast changed in the last year.

I saw a trailer tonight - cant remember what time - but it was for the explosion at the Dog in Friday's episode. Looks like it will be a good episode.

Yeah, looks like it's not just advertising Friday either...

"Life in Hollyoaks...

is about to change...

but only for those...

who survive"

Another good episode of In the City tonight as well - just a fun filler really, but a good filler at that! And Rod Hudd to making a guest appearance!

Kay didn't last long though - Kym Marsh was actually only in the first two episodes.

That explains how she could do this and Corrie then - as im sure they are still filming Hollyoaks in the City.

When the "new look" Hollyoaks arrives on screen I hope they add an opticians to the village - that hoodie isn't the best disguise really is it Sam, though of course your brother didn't recognise you when he walked past!

And Claire still being brilliantly evil - not sure how I want this to play out as once again we don't want to lose a good character too early, but of course the laws of soap mean she can't get away with it!

So we saw the final member of the McQueen family in tonights E4 episode. I guess thats the last of the new cast to be introduced. I like all of the new students so far.

It seems like this explosion has been coming for ages - its been mentioned for the past few months!

It's been rumoured for a couple of years really!

As for the McQueen's - I think there is one more sister yet - she's currently "away".

Looking in next week's TV guides they (well, What's on EastEnders) don't give too much away - they just let slip a couple of deaths that we know about. The daily listings info though concentrates on other events.

I wonder why E4 arent showing the full 1 hour episode in First Look on Thursday night?
