Seemed an improvement on Let Loose - ex Corrie man Daran Little is the main man behind it so once again Corrie's loss is Hollyoaks gain!
Could have been called Brookside in the City though!
Titles are good - completly different to last year, but they work. Find it strange though how they don't use the official Hollyoaks logo considering in the last year they've estabhlished it more as the brand of the show.
And Kym Marsh seems to have a much more interesting character here than on Corrie - I'm guessing the series has been filmed in it's entirety already then!
P.S. Noticed first on the website and it's now on screen that the outside of Evissa has had a new look - just a couple of months after it opened! It's about time they did something with "Drive'n'Buy"

It's certainly worth a watch - though as you say Ben and Lisa are a bit pointless really. I think it could have worked as a "new" drama just called In the City!
The McQueen's are beginning to make their presense felt in the main show now - and though I weren't sure at once it's beginning to work now - I liked Carmel alot, the first "comedy" character we've had in quite a while.
The Valentines are settling in well too, but the daughter lets them down!

Im not sure about the Mcqueen family yet, but I do like the one that was introduced this week (the one who sang the best out of the 4 sisters!)
Hopefully this weeks episodes should be good what with Jake going to court, and I cant wait to see what happens with Becca next as she is one of my favourite characters (just hope she doesnt leave!)

Firstly, what is the E4 First Look situation with the hour-long episode next Friday (on C4).
What's on TV has a regular first look 30 minute episode scheduled for the Thursday on E4 (though it's an hour on Friday on C4), and then no episode on Friday.
Secondly, a surprise return of an old character tonight on E4. Zac Ramsey (sure it wasn't Ramsey before!), one of the students from a couple of years ago who was axed alongside Bella and the American bloke.
He only moved to another halls but hasn't been seen since - despite seemingly being great mates with Rhys and Gilly!
And also time for the annual student eviction storyline!
