Aw at the end credits with the old theme tune and images of Max and OB. Shows up the ugly new theme music too.

I thought it was nice that they included OB as the 'face' for the commercial break even though he was removed from the title sequence after he left the cast:

and a nice final shot of Max, too:

...and here are the end credits (just cos pad & Brekkie liked them so much, you understand... Wink )

It's not been right having OB placed last in the credits as a "guest" character - though Max was in the main part of the credits tonight (and it's back to Steph Cunningham).

I wonder if Mandy and Cindy will make it to the opening titles for next week then - it's still not really been explored why Mandy is back, after all the topic of her return cropped up in the show before Max died.

Absolutely loved though how with Max going they bought back the surviving members of his family - it really added to the impact of it all. Would have been a nice touch though to have Mr C appearing in Max's final scene too.

I agree. Max & Mr C both in the doorway of "Drive 'N' Buy" watching over their friends 'n' family would've been nice. I wonder whether they approached Bernard Latham, he seemed happy to do the ghost sequences after he left.

Slightly OT, but did you see the T4 skit with Max meeting Mr C in heaven? That would have been very funny to see in an episode of Hollyoaks.

Haven't seen that - anyone capped it?

Some changes to the titles this week then - roughly half of them are now new shots, with Cindy, Mandy, Rav and his sister added. Who's the bloke on the sofa though and the one in the red tie?

The new shots are better than the last lot really but still don't like this flicking purple effect - and they don't start as well now with Tony and Jackie replacing Russ's opening scene.

Thanks for that - brilliant stuff. Could have worked well as a post-credits scene in the show itself, though as we've said I think just having Mr C standing by Max in the shop door would have been very effective.

Didn't really like the panning to "MAX OB AND TOM WOZ HERE" on the wall at the end - it was so obvious it was freshly done, and I think it would have been a tad more believable if it had been just "MAX AND OB WOZ HERE" instead.

Brilliant episode tonight on E4 - and after ten years serving pints it's great Jimmy McKenna has had such a great storyline over recent months. Also think the relationship between Jack and Darren is by far the most believable father/son relationship in the soap, and that really adds to this story.

P.S.
David Judge (Danny Valentine) is reported to have been sacked with immediate affect following persistent bad time keeping. Sonny Valentine went in exactly the same circumstances last year.

Was it just me or was it the old version of the titles on c4 tonight? Wonder why that was?

I like the storylines like the Bulimia nervosa and domestic violence there very welldone.however the show than seems to implode with
silly stuff like jack's fake death.
