Another day, another "wasn't that a great episode?".

(E4 First Look)

Gilly was outstanding tonight - and loved the voiceover twist at the end. Great to see an episode with all the Ashworth's together, but it did highlight that Neville and Suzanne are letting the oldies down.

The bingo fall out was a great complementary storyline too - Leo is getting better and better with every episode, while I loved the moment Jacqui pushed Calvin across the room.

I've only seen Hollyoaks a couple of times so i apologise if this has been answered on previous pages but why does the show open with some cheesy montage at the beginning of every episode?

Cheesy!!! Laughing

Well, some are but it always has done. It's supposed to be setting up the storylines for the episode, and usually works very well. Today's on E4 for example was excellent, but didn't really make sense until the end.

They are also sometimes used to recap events - sometimes with flashbacks, but often more subtly with things like newspaper headlines and radio commentary referring to recent stories.

Just to say well done to E4 last night for leaving the credits absolutely clean with no announcer and no ECP - it was very effective indeed.

well monday's ep. how obvious was it she was going to be dead. good riddance to her though, i couldn't bare another episode of her whiny voice, I'd have kept Katy over her any day.

I see an episode called "The Revelation" has been nominated for best single episode at the Soap Awards, but can't figure out at all which episode this would be. Any ideas?

Could be several episodes really!? Possibly Craig/John Paul getting found out?

Cindy Cunningham, Max's sister, is returning to the show in June. Not sure if it's permanent or just a guest role - I guess she'll be back for Max's wedding - and OB will probably have some prior engagement which prevents him returning as best man! Wink

Most likely. That was a fantastic episode as well.

Surely the one where they first kissed was more emotional. Getting 'found out' wasn't quite so dramatic.

Is this the one where they had the dance competition and Hannah walked in on them? I liked that one as well but I thought the entire episode where they were found out was excellent. Great performances all round.

I think it highlights how great Hollyoaks has been in the last year that we struggle to single out just the one episode.

Personally I'd choose one of the Hannah Anorexia based episodes over any of the JP/Craig episodes.
