Ahem! "There's a magical place, we're on our way there".
Mind you the cymbal crashes when the lights fire up on the bridge are spectacular when this ad's on in the cinema. Sends a tingle up the spine.

Hmm, why don't they still roll out the trucks and Melanie Thornton's Wonderful Dream ending with "The Coke side of life" slogan. That would be a good compromise.
In 2001 the trucks ad and music ending was altered slightly to incorporate the "Coca Cola Enjoy" slogan at the time.

I agree it's a very well made and presented advert. The music does let down the visual side of things, but it still suits it perfectly. A bit more razamataz Hey Hey It's Christmas would be better for the Coke brand rather than the whimsy Disney kids Xmas movie style that they chose.

Was that version played here? The one I remember is this one! The new one is certainly lovely visually but I hope they manage to still squeeze in the old one.

Yes i was looking for this version, but couldnt find it "then the trucks came over the hill", but the other version probably aired here at sometime too.

Yeah but wouldn't parents object to seeing an advert with the Nativity and baby Jesus nicking a bottle of Coca Cola from Mary and gulping it all down?

The meaning of Christmas is lots of things - much more than just the religious ideas behind it anyway!
I'm happy for you to celebrate Christmas in any way you like. If people enjoy seeing these ads - meerly because it's become what happens now - then why can't they? Why should we *not* do these things?
