Really? I've never seen TC8 appear so large.

I believe TC8 has a larger floorspace than TC1 with an audience present. It's also better designed than TC1 (it's wider as I recall) so it's not all that suprising that it was chosen for Hole In The Wall.

I've noticed that about Studio1, once they put the audience seating in it doesn't seem that much space for a set. It can only seat around 400 in TC1 as well from what I can remember.

I always remembered producers saying how they loved TC8 the most out of all of the studios, and it was Auntie Beeb's 'go to' studio, if they had the chance, for their light entertainment shows. I know Morecambe & Wise and The Two Ronnies regularly came from this studio.

Oh I don't know - half of BBC Three's programmes cover that.

I've stated it earlier and I'll restate it Smile Although I agree that there is an element of tack to this, shouldn't Saturday nights have a bit of fun that don't require belittling the public / celebrities / animals?

The Generation Game is hardly high-brow but still popular ( OK except for the J Davidson reign ). ( And it's due back apparently! )

I don't think I could tolerate this being replaced with Outtake TV / Weakest Link / cooking / antiques or some other filler of the 00s.

There's tack that's so bad it's good - and then theres tack that's so bad it's bad - and this falls into that category.

In this case the show always had potential - but the BBC completely miscast it and screwed it up.
