It's funny you mention that as its a format (probably) pinched from the Far East as this You Tube link shows.

Not pinched... it was bought!

All the You-Tube clips are called 'Human Tetris', no idea if it's called that in Japan, it bears no resemblance to Tetris. Personally I'd like to see a british version of this. although as a series by itself I think it has the same limited run problem as Hole in the Wall

In Japan it's known as Brain Wall, and is a section of a variety show.

I don't understand how this could ever have been termed "human tetris"

Do people not remember how tetris works?

It's shockingly boring and tense, you can cut the atmosphere with a knife. Where's the humour/fun or even an audience??

Is this show made at BBC TV Centre? It's good for a laugh but it's the same thing every week which will make it boring.

I actually quite enjoyed "Hole in the Wall" - proof of the BBC dumbing-down. I think this will go down well with viewers.

Although there is a ( large ) element of tackiness, we're maybe just not used to the fact that game shows can and should be fun anymore. We're too used to eliminating, backstabbing, lying etc.

If you think back to It's A Knockout ( the BBC version ) it was hardly " high brow " entertainment.

At least this is a laugh! Well it is watching Vanessa Feltz falling into a pool Smile

Hey, what's wrong with this show? Yes it's ridiculous, but it's fun - and the scheduling means it's great fodder for kids and the so-called family audience. My kids loved it and understood what the contestants had to do within seconds.

I'd hazard a guess that the audience atmosphere seems a bit lacking because I bet there a fair amount of stopping and starting while they reset the 'wall'!

Certainly looks like a BBC TVC studio to me (possibly TC6?) - though I don't know for sure. Certainly didn't have the dead-givaway audience arrangement of the big studio at The London Studios! If it's made in HD, then that cuts it down to TC1, 4 or 8.

It isn't broadcast on BBC HD - so I doubt it is made in HD - so if it was recorded in a TVC studio (and I have a feeling - but nothing more than that - that it did) then it could be any of them. Doubt it is TC1 (though it could be) - suspect 3,4,6 or 8... (2 is too small, and 5/7 are not available)

Before I would have said TC1, but the way the studio is laid out confuses me. It seems like it could be TC1 and then I think it could be The Fountain Studios in Wembley.

Good job the clothing element isn't the same as the UK's, I wouldn't want to see Vanessa Feltz in skimpy black underwear!
