As in the air turned blue - in tonight's pre-watershed show we got one "b*llocks", one "sh*g", one "p*ssed off" and one "balls", all in the space of an hour.

Not that any of those words offend me, but it sounds like they've taken on some ex-Bad Girls writers. Looks like a busy night for BBC Information...

Most of those words were used after 8.45pm - i.e. as near to the watershed they could get really.

I wasn't expecting 'b ollocks' and 'p issed off' (x2) to be used, but it was all quite fun really. Smile

One sh*g? I'll have to watch Holby City more often then!

I was surprised when they used the words "pissed off" not once but twice in this episode.

Last time I checked, sh*g was a word used to describe a type of bird.

Or a type of dance in the USA. Very popular in the 1950s I believe.

Or a carpet

Can you stop doing this please? It's extremely annoying and not funny.

And if I'm correct, it's also slang in the Yorkshire area for a packet of roll-your-own cigarettes. In fact I have heard of being given a tuppence by their fathers and told to 'go out and buy a sh*g for your dad'.

All this proves that the word doesn't necessarily refer to... you know... 'it'...
