The Hits is not going to close. You can tell the story is a load of hmmm as Channel four are taking on The Box not The Hits!

If you read the artical quoted from the beeb website, Ch4 have only got 50% of The Box as I thought. The other EMAP Music TV channels are unaffected.

If your going to try and be clever and quote a source, at least READ the next paragraph in the story your quoting!

Calling the division 'The BOX' was just lazy writing; the next bit tells you quite clearly that ALL 7 emap channels have been sold to a 50/50 joint venture with channel 4.

So you read the second paragraph that said:

The business runs seven TV channels including Kerrang!, Q and The Hits.
