That pretty much covers any aspect of TV, and we've always discussed programmes here. To suggest this is a forum just about TV presentation is incorrect.

I think the reaction might have been different had you or someone else a bit more respected started the thread.

Does it matter ? It's a topic that is relevant to the forum and always has been.

No, I'm not saying it should matter. But I'm just saying WillPS wouldn't have said anything if say Bail had started this thread.

Well that's just pointless. What's the point of sniping about a topic which is entirely within the remit of the forum on the basis of the contributor that started it. It's either relevant or it isn't.

Well unfortunately some people think only 'respected' and old guard can start topics...

I paid no attention to the OP's username. What makes you think I would care?

I just couldn't imagine someone making a post such as yours had one of grown ups started the thread. I may be wrong of course.

Back on topic, I wouldn't be surprised if there was more to this story. None of the other Dragons have tweeted about it and she was the only Dragon who didn't appear on Richard Bacon's programme when it came from the set the other week.

Arguably having her on a major BBC programme as well would have helped Channel 4 has it would have meant her profile remained high when the Channel 4 programme doesn't air.

Just another person who thinks that they are bigger than the programme the present. The programme is always the star.

I've got zero interest in multi-millionaire business people embarking on self-aggrandising vanity projects, so she can bog off to another show with her hideous wardrobe.

Its rather pathetic to see yet another 'personality poach' show. Christ almighty, if Hilary Devey is the best Channel 4 can come up with then they should be hanging their heads in shame, and leave that kind of rubbish to Five.

And anyway, I didn't even start a new thread, a moderator split it from the BBC2 one. Thanks for the defence guys, I didn't do anything wrong, I'm glad some people can see that. As you guys said, it doesn't matter whether the topic was started by a respected long term member with inside sources, or a member who joined more recently who just happened to find the news while net surfing. It's on topic for the forum, so this argument should never have erupted. My intention was never to cause any trouble.

Could you clarify who you're disagreeing with?

Correct me if i'm wrong, but isnt the place to bitch and moan about stuff on TV Forum the "TV Forum Watch News and Information Board" on Metropol? Why ruin what could have been an excellent conversation.

Sad to see Hilary Devey go she gave so much more life to the show... hopefully they will replace her with someone of equal gravitas.

The trouble is they're gonna want someone who can give the show the same talkability as what Hilary has done. Which is why I wouldn't be surprised if they pick someone silly like Katie Price.
