Which one is Hilary Devey again? I always get her and Jessie Jay confused.

I'm not the only one who's thought that then.

To be fair most people do know what the forum is for, but the odd thread does slip through the net and this is one that has been split from the main BBC2 thread.

Quite what the OP thought it had to do with the BBC Two rebrand I have no idea...

The thread is more discussion of BBC2 post-rebrand (I'm guessing, by the title) and BBC2 will be losing one of its key faces and one that has made a big impact in a short period of time. Not pres related, but fairly big news for the channel.

Can't say I've ever noticed, Jessie reminds me more of Mystic Meg, but now you mention it Laughing .

One can't sing and wears giant shoulder pads, and the other wears giant shoulder pads and can't sing.

Ah, I'm seeing the confusion now...

Stop defending him, it's obviously in the wrong place or the mods wouldn't have split it out. A participant in a series leaving has nothing to do with the presentation of that channel. It's not even big news, Dragon's Den is still continuing, with four bigger names than Hilary whats-her-face. It's not like all five had got together and said "No, I'm out" to the BBC and caused them to cancel the programme.

Why are people on this forum so scared of the New Topic button?

As with Ruth Watson.

Didn't she start on Channel 5 and then move to Channel 4? A step up I would say.

It's a step up, but I'm not sure her Channel 4 programmes did as well, the hotel one didn't and there are no further plans to make the Country House Rescue. I know her Channel 5 replacement has moved to BBC 2 but she has talked about a desire to continue with The Hotel Inspector as well, which remained strong.

However Watson might be happy with the one big fat Channel 4 cheque. I preferred Watson though as there seemed to be something a bit more interesting about her. Nothing against Alex though.

According to Channel 4 http://www.channel4.com/info/press/news/simon-davis-to-front-country-house-rescue Simon Davis is to present the next series of Country House Rescue. I've read that Ruth quit the series as after a few series of Hotel Inspector then this, she was fed up with spending so much time on the road.

its not like this kind of thread happens all the time.

Yes, it does. I have to say I agree with WillPS on this - some people post anything about TV on here when there are clear indicators as to what the forum is meant to be about.

This from the homepage :

This is TV Forum, discussing television presentation and news, channel branding, schedules and programmes . This site has no connection with and is not endorsed by any broadcaster.

That pretty much covers any aspect of TV, and we've always discussed programmes here. To suggest this is a forum just about TV presentation is incorrect.

Oh and shame about Hilary Duvet she's my favourite Dragon. Razz

I think the reaction might have been different had you or someone else a bit more respected started the thread.

Does it matter ? It's a topic that is relevant to the forum and always has been.

No, I'm not saying it should matter. But I'm just saying WillPS wouldn't have said anything if say Bail had started this thread.
