Good God. Why don't you write a rule book for the forum, because that would make it much more fun?

It's a shame Hilary is leaving - she was a nice addition. Much better than James.

Yet another unnecessary lifestyle-esque type signing by C4. Most the BBC2 talent they've poached in recent years find themselves without decent shows once they make it to C4 and ultimately end up doing cheaper rip-off versions of the shows they were doing at the BBC.

Completely agree, her new show just sounds like Fairy Jobmother for the already employed.

I thought she was a terrific addition to Dragon's Den, I'll be sad to see her go. She gained quite some following from it too, and the reception towards her suggested that in a series or two she could've easily been the face of the show and gained more from the BBC in the long run than Channel 4 in the short term.

She's silly.

But then it depends what her expectations are I can't imagine it'll be cash motivated more ego motivated and her ego will be deflated by the time her new contract ends.*

As with Ruth Watson.

*And having read the article I know understand that idea was completely wrong.

Devey is more of a character, but I've more time and respect for opinions of Meaden anyway.

Didn't she start on Channel 5 and then move to Channel 4? A step up I would say.

To be fair most people do know what the forum is for, but the odd thread does slip through the net and this is one that has been split from the main BBC2 thread. It'll be dead in a few days and its not like this kind of thread happens all the time, I'm not really sure what your issue is.

Exactly. The whole of the Coronation Street thread should be deleted by your argument. Just don't read the thread...

Quite what the OP thought it had to do with the BBC Two rebrand I have no idea...

It's a step up, but I'm not sure her Channel 4 programmes did as well, the hotel one didn't and there are no further plans to make the Country House Rescue. I know her Channel 5 replacement has moved to BBC 2 but she has talked about a desire to continue with The Hotel Inspector as well, which remained strong.

However Watson might be happy with the one big fat Channel 4 cheque. I preferred Watson though as there seemed to be something a bit more interesting about her. Nothing against Alex though.
