The Club were giving out mince pies and mulled wine today too. Smile

The testcard design is also in reception, around the Energy Centre entrance, looks great. At the same time they've put up a few BBC logos that weren't there before, feels a lot more like you're walking into a BBC building now.

Speaking of test cards / patterns in unusual places, I saw this this clock for sale in Chicago:

...which is a bit surprising since very few U.S. stations ever used the Philips PM5544 test pattern. (Wikipedia mentions just two.) On the other hand, it was certainly the most common test pattern in PAL countries.

EDIT: NeXtime is apparently a Dutch company.

Suspect that the BBC have re-thought their approach to The Broadcast Centre now that lots of Red Bee staff have relocated to Ealing, and the building has more BBC staff in it than it once did?

Red Bee used to be a little resistant to lots of BBC branding in BC reception I believe, as they wanted the reception to feel independent of the BBC, as Red Bee are not part of the BBC and have large contracts with Channel Four and other non-BBC operations.

However I guess this is less of an issue these days... Certainly feels more like a BBC building now. (And people may finally realise where The Energy Centre is...)

A few years back the BC reception had an A4 piece of paper, laser printed with 'BBC Reception' one side, with a BBC Security guard under it, then a random metrosexual looking man with a Red Bee sign in similar fashion!
