Thanx for the tip-off. That final statement definitely doesnt rule anyhting out in the future- keep those emails rolling in!

NB. A note on that weather email address- all i get back is an auotmatic message thanking me for the weather report- i think the address must be used for reporting any weather news. Confused

OK, well obviously we're just forecasting a great future for BBC Weather under the leadership of Mr Corbett.

He's been doing forecasts on News 24 this evening...first time I've seen him, complete with "that's the weather, for now". Wink

Nina Ridge said yesterday that he'd be around on overnight to talk to Janice Long, and prepared her for how much fun he'd be, since it's the first time she had spoken to him on her show. I think he was a little overawed speaking to Janice this morning, but his forecast afterwards was excellent.

Thing is he now has the tedious task of doing the regional Breakfast weather [for those regions that take the N24 person] -- having to say broadly the same thing ten times or so for each little bit of England and Wales.

Can you give a report on this? What sort of conversation was it? Was he sitting at the desk?

And how come he's doing Breakfast when he did last evening too?!?!

He might appear back on N24 - it depends on which shifts he's been put down to do. He comes and goes on World too.

I too caught one of his bulletins last night on News 24 - and he's such a breath of fresh air! It's really great at last to see someone on the channel who looks like he really enjoys what he's doing. Let's hope he's back for good!

OT: What's happened to Darren Bett? Haven't seen him for ages.

I'm sure Darren was on BBC World this morning. I was in a hurry, so I didn't pay too much attention, but I'm sure it was him.
