Any ideas of the best email address we could use?

Well, the BBC Weather Centre website has an address to send any questions or comments: weather@bbc.co.uk . Bear in mind, though, that I mailed that address a few weeks ago when we first spotted Mr Corbett back on BBC World to ask if he was back permanently etc, but as yet have had no response.

Might be worth a try - maybe they just didn't like my questions!

Somewhere I have on a tape the old flags era Weather promotion from News 24 where he's spouting such choice phrases as "intense troposphoric activity" and "tracked by magical satellite technology" (or something like that, my memory is hazy - corrections welcome).

I did capture it once and sent it to THE TV ROOM but it was never put on (about 2 years ago!)

I no longer have the file and haven't been able to locate the tape. If I do, I will try and re-capture it again!

Is Dan the only member of the BBC weather staff who can generate his own electricity?

It would seem that way! Sadly though, he's not actually one of the BBC weather staff - let's email them to try to change that!

Quick- click the link on the BBC Weather site- he's on cracking from today!

Such classics as- "An intense wind field, wind, wet, all sorts of muck in there!"

and

"Little bendy weather front"

Cracking form indeed!

"Perhaps not the best of weekends for a picnic in many places"

"Look at the winds, almost like fish swimming in"

"Heat of the day showers in Hong Kong and Bangkok"

"Keep the umberellas handy in Denver"

"A tropical troublemaker called Fabien"

"Heat of the day storms erupting where the speckly bits are here and there"

And of course: "That's the weather....for now"

Please, please, please, please someone bring him back permanently to the BBC (and if possible to BBC1).

If you want to save Dan keep those emails rolling in to weather@bbc.co.uk

I was playing about with my new TV card tonight, and I managed to capture and encode a BBC World

No sightings of him lately- must be on a break from the action- not on the BBC World bulletins or on Radio 4- its been Everton Fox for the last few nights. Let's hope he's working over the weekend. Very Happy
