I might be inviting some kind of eldritch curse by resurrecting this thread, but I just wanted to point out that for some reason one of the actual Bergerac cars makes an appearance in one of the new Go Compare ads (the one with the couple at the train station), albeit with the number plate reading "1610 J" (closest you can get with a UK registration) instead of "J1610".
