Apparently, it has been confirmed that Adele Silva, Joe Pasquale and Kelly Holmes have signed up for Hell's Kitchen???

I thought this had been axed by ITV 2 years ago? Apparently not if the above news is correct. If it is coming back, then when...and will Angus Deayton be presenting again?

It is good that they are doing it with celebrities agin rather than Joe Public as the last series wasn't so hot watching an average person frying an egg in a kitchen.

It will be back

"Marco Pierre White will step back into the kitchen for the first time in seven years when he takes over the reigns at TV’s most exclusive restaurant and puts a team of celebrities through their paces."

Yes, it was announced as part of the summer schedule. Not sure when it's airing though.

So Michael Grade hasn't got rid of all the ****!

The US version is so much better - a genuine competition with a real prize the wannabee chefs really want.

Didn't they try normal people for the second series (with 2 chefs) and it was complete flop - just gone back to basics and one of the better celeb-shows IMHO

The problem with it though is it's not about the talent of the contestants, it's about the popularity and the voting revenue.

When will people realise that he's Chairman of the company and not head of programmes?

BUT he is taking a personal interest in the programmes for ITV1 as he does want to revitalise the channel.

The US version is better. Why we have to resort to yet more celebrity filled crap I don't know. The Joe Public version with Gary Rhodes and Jean Christophe-Novelli wasn't actually that bad - it just needed more promotion I think.

I don't think promotion was the reason why it flopped - IIRC it even had specially produced idents and was being constantly plugged during the ad breaks - not sure how much more promotion it could have had. One reason was probably the absence of Gordon Ramsay who made the first series for most people and the second was that a lot of people probably just weren't interested in non-celebs fighting it out in a kitchen - certainly not a mass audience at least.
