I disagree; I think BBC ONE was worse under Peter Salmon - wall-to-wall docusoaps.
And look what happened to him, there aren't many former channel controllers that went backwards into running a production department. But he's certainly found his niche in BBC Sport - it's doing rather well
Err - Alan Yentob (who was controller of BBC Two then BBC One ISTR) was controller of Drama, Entertainment and Childrens after he stopped channel controlling though wasn't he?
