Heartbeat Back In The New Year

If you like me enjoy watching Heartbeat on Sunday nights, then you will be annoyed like me that ITV1 have yet again cut the series short for, The Royal.

Now I don't mind ITV1 showing The Royal (A Heartbeat Spin-Off), but why can't they show it on another night of maybe after the Heartbeat episode.?. Or, can't they put the two programmes together and have a weekly all year round ninety minute programme.?.

It is bad news when good series are taken off just a few episodes into the latest Season.

Isn't it just the end of this series of Heartbeat? It's not being taken off mid-series?

It makes me laugh how people like you wish that dramas like Heartbeat would be on all year round, yet you would be the first to complain when the standards dropped.

You don't think a drama like Heartbeat could survive going all year round, do you? I don't think it would be technically possible anyway.

BTW, Heartbeat now credits no fewer than ELEVEN regular actors in its opening titles. Is this a record?

It still pulls in the ratings, but it can hardly be called quality drama. And isn't it time Heartbeat hit the seventies!!!

Should have been dumped at least in the 1990s.

Well, yes it can be called quality drama, no other pulls in 10/11 million on a regular basis. It might not be yours or my cup of tea, and it might be soapy, but just look at Brookside for something whos quality dipped.

It would have been a bit difficult with it being dumped before the 1990's on account of it starting in that decade.
