I think the flags News 24 headline bed is very good.

I liked the old Six O' Clock News headline bed (1993-1999) - if any one has it, then I would be most grateful.

I also like the Reporting Scotland and Newsline headline beds - the Wales Today one is hardly very different from the national one!!
I have another question. Which regions (English only!) use the different beds? There is the one with the continuous note (like South Today) and there is the one without, which North West Today uses.

BBC Look North Newcastle uses the continuous note, BBC Look North Leeds uses a continuous note but there also seems to me to be a beat in there. In my opinion they fit in much better with the opening title music than the North West Tonight bed.

NSE uses the one without the strings when showing headlines along side the national headlines, but the stringed ones during the programme

I hate the North West Today one - I wish we could adopt the string version. Why do we always have to be different?! Whats the point anyway? Personally I like Look North Leeds' - it seems different to everyone else's. Its true, the opening titles do follow better on from the string version.
