Have you noticed that the advert for Harry Potter on ITV1 ends with a 5 second ident for ITV1 Movies with Motorola.

Bit unusual. Is this another one of the Ofcom rules that have been relaxed?

The little ident doesn't work at all. The promo comes to a rather nice end and then that comes on. How odd.

I thought it might be something to do with Warner Bros, and the strict rules they seem to put on anyone using clips from the franchise. Like those few lines of text at the bottom of the trailer, maybe they didn't want a sponsor name on screen anywhere near the Harry Potter brand as it doesn't feature on the endboard but as you say separate from the trailer, full screen.

They seem to be very precious over it.

And of course what did UTV do? Well, plaster a big UTV logo over the top of course!

Has anyone seen the SMG version yet? Bearing in mind that in their trails they don't actually have a channel name, just four squares, I'm assuming they've either re-edited it or just left ITV on.

Having "Harry Potter is coming to four blue squares" would look a bit ridiculous, frankly.

I think they just left the ITV logo on it. Can't confirm though.

i'm sure it just the normal Scottish 4 blue squares, at the end with no logo

I didn't see the film itself, was sponsorship around it as normal, or were there any special arrangements in place?

Normal I believe.

Generic ITV graphic with a clip of the film against the clouds and the film name, followed by the sponsership.

I *think* they just left the word movies in without any brand (like ITV or even the squares) before it. I think I saw the promo, and it wasn't until it ended I thought there was something odd about it as I didn't really understand what it meant.
