New shots would be easier to clear than old ones. Recent clips come under the fair-use rule of copyright law, but not if they are old - they would have had to get permission (presumably it beuing comic relief made that easier)
You can hardly criticise them for showing highlights, it's either that or use all the jokes from this weeks that weren't good enough. It's quite an intense a programme in terms of writing, I'm sure the team don't want to do another 10 minutes.
IIRC something went wrong with Harry's bit last RND, I remember him saying that he'l be back later and then not re-appearing

Yes Lenny Henry did 'big-up' ITV.
A shame that it was all recycled clips but it was a great advert/showcase for the series!
Im sure the TV Burp team really work hard everyweek in trying to get material for each episode it would seem a slight waste to put it out for nothing. It wouldve been nice to have a few of the classics IE Phil Mitchel and Mr Blobby but also some RND clips and a few new ones from tomorrow's episode!

I think he did exactly the same two years ago. Special editions of shows on charity nights are never as substantial as an actual episode of the show

True, I wasn't exactly expecting a whole new show. But since almost everything else shown tonight will be new (and made especially for the event), it seems odd that TV Burp is the exception. Rights to clips and stuff is tricky I know, but they could have used all BBC clips to make that easier. When charity is involved the lawyers should just back off a little.

I'm sure the bit with Mr Blobby was reshot or could have been a different take. It was abit shorter and that wasn't the result of a refilm.
Haven't watched all of tonights yet but what I have seen so far is great & on form as usual

Do you mean Cliff Richard's tour bus? That was a Church on the back of a lorry.
This week was great again, the bit with Pearl answering the door was great and when the woman flew past on the bungee rope & grabbed Harry's Crunchie
No TV Highlight of the week again but they had the one about small amount of sick.... this week instead
