The most interesting thing about this is that it’s going to be on BBC Two, which makes me wonder how different it will feel compared to if it had been on ITV. And I wonder what time slot it will be in?

Well there wouldn't be a "Mr Blobby vs Heather from EastEnders, which is better.... FIGHT!!!!".

Unless they look at archive adverts.

First show just shown on BBC Two tonight.

Does feel like a lower budget TV Burp... if that's even possible. But it does go to show that the TV Burp humour still works with archive clips. I found it quite funny.

He didn't miss a soap out. He got them all in including Crossroads, Family Affair, Brookside and Albion Market.

Harry does seem to have a lot of love for Crossroads. Did particularly love the 'cheese transition'. And 'two teas'.

Appears they've used a UK Gold TV rip and blurred out the UK Gold logo.

Yes some of the clips seemed to be YT rips, which was a little disappointing (I spotted a Brookside clip taken from Living), but most of it was properly sourced archive, and 4:3 clips were pillarboxed. Not a surprise as Alien Fun Capsule and Tea Time both treated archive footage well too.

I enjoyed it. Two teas please.

They hid it so well. I wouldn't have noticed it unless you pointed it out... Laughing

I can't compare this too much to TV Burp. It feels more like Harry Hill's Screenwipe in a way. Still enjoying it so far though!

It is like TV Burp but more stripped back. It seems quite at home on BBC Two whereas on BBC One, it would be a lot more exposed.

Also I did spot two clips that were previously used in TV Burp, amazingly one I'd seen in an episode of TV Burp I'd literally just rewatched earlier today.

More importantly was there a "fiiiiiiiiight"?

Very much enjoyed tonight's episode. The comedic analysis of each genre in TV is a format which I believe works quite well. Looking forward to seeing the likes of Casualty and Holby next week.

Unless/until we get Burp back, I was happy to see this. A couple of YouTube clips in a half hour archive programme is pretty good going and the proper treatment of 4:3 clips is always great (even down to a B&W design for the really old clips).

As Harry said on The One Show the other night, he could have done a whole programme just on Crossroads. Not even a mention of the wobbly sets!

No reference to Echo Beach though either. Shocking Very Happy
