Is this the first time that Neighbours has been featured in TV Burp?

No - it has appeared only once before which was the same week it began on Five. Again it was only a small clip just after the break rather than Harry focusing on the entire week.

Of course it featured regularly on Australian TV Burp which was on down under over summer

Of course, no real reason why they can't use lots from Neighbours.. the same rights holders as The X Factor.

I'd imagine Fair Use covers a lot of TV Burp anyway

I always thought that it was more to do with the fact that Neighbours knows it's slightly ridiculous so taking the mick out of it is slightly redundant rather than rights issues (same reason why Hollyoaks is never on - plus could get too soap heavy)

According to TV Burp's wiki, the full pilot is available on the Avalon website. Is that still there? I couldn't find it when I looked for it yesterday.

It looks like the website has since been revamped. It's interesting to see the pilot episode, and how the show has changed from its early days.

Apparently this from series 1 episode 1. The way Harry says fight doesn't seem right:

I do remember one occasion when his head fell off.

What about this occasion when he appeared sans head, arms, legs and torso...

Whoops!

The clip I remember was actually from the House Party, not Live & Kicking. But thanks anyway. Smile
I should have clarified actually, Blobby's head only fell off because he fell down during a segment with such force the head (of the costume, no need to burst any bubbles here I hope) just flew off exposing the actor. Cue Noel rushing to get it back into place.
Of course there was the original Gotchas where Noel Edmonds donned the costume but that would have been a deliberate "taking off of the Blobby Head".

The Irish version/rip-off of TV Burp started tonight called ''Republic of Telly'' I think. Watched about a half of it. Not a terrible start, some bits were quite funny but was a bit too focused on the host. However a 4 minute skit of him being subbed into an xfactor audition was cringe worthy to say the least. It should be up on the RTE Player soon if you want to see it.

Not a bad effort I think, definitely room for improvement and it was better than RTE2's recent rubbish. It is getting ripped to shreds on Irish forums though.

So go on then, who spotted Knitted Character on This Morning this week? First time I've not ended up finding him personally. But I'm not in to watch it, so was a little unfair really. Laughing

Overall a better week this week, and better placed ads allowed more depth in the 2nd half.
