Loved tonight's show. And 15 years on, Blobby can still raise a smile on Saturday nights!

You know I knew it was going to be Blobby the second the sketch started, but it was still hilarious to watch.

I think we all saw it coming. The concept of Mr Blobby wrecking the joint and falling down is hilarious and was used to great effect, dropped in randomly during his original run on Noel's House Party. Used sparingly it's as hilarious as ever but it's not the sort of thing you can use endlessly.

The show was better this week than last week, though these sort of shows tend to take a couple of weeks to get going.

By the way, who owns the rights to Mr Blobby? I know he was created originally for the Gotcha sequences on the House Party but he couldn't be used again for them so ended up trashing the place instead. I do remember one occasion when his head fell off.

Is this the first time that Neighbours has been featured in TV Burp?

Interesting question. After House Party he regularly appeared on Live and Kicking and the Generation Game, but in the last few years though only occassionally, he's popped up all over the place.

I've always thought Noel Edmonds owned the rights to Mr Blobby, or is that just a rumour?

As far as I am aware he does own the rights.

I think I am also right in saying he is supposed to be (or was) only allowed to be played by Barry Killerby.

It'll be either him or Unique

He was regularly seen without head in the Gotchas that featured Blobby. For most of each hit Barry Killerby was seen inside but then for the reveal at the end they switched over so Noel was there

What about this occasion when he appeared sans head, arms, legs and torso...
