ITV have a few stars who seem vital to the network, Simon Cowell, Ant & Dec and Harry Hill are those that come to mind. Their other lynchpin is the soaps, but they are in house productions.
On the other hand, Avalon, who manage Harry and produce the show, have always given the impression of being hard negotiators. Thus, unless anything actually happens, I would take as a negotiating stance these stories, and wouldn't be surprised to see him stay at ITV.
Great to have Harry back this year. I went to this weeks show on thursday, it's even better watching it in the audience. I also saw a glimpse of TC3's gallery behind the black curtain as we were making our way out of the studio at the end of the recording and apparently they ran over about 50 minutes in this show.
Brilliant first start to the new series. Great to have Harry back, I was getting a bit tired of all those 'Best of TV Burp' episodes! I laughed more than I did in the whole of the last series tonight. 'The K Factor' was a particular highlight of mine!
I hope there's enough entries to make the K Factor work, otherwise it could fall on it's face [as he slyly pointed out to Knitted Character]. Still, I've already got a Knitted Character, so no point entering
I thought it was a great TV Burp this evening... so many classic moments. Loved the spoof of The X Factor with the knitted entries, the Dimbleby Anglo-Saxon bit was also funny as well.

It's not really TV Burp though, is it? More Adam & Joe - seemed like a waste of 5 minutes that could have been spent on taking more mick out of Danny Dyer

I fear this might be the way the programme is going I.e. before long we might have "Mrs Jones from Oxbridge emailled us to say she think's Edna from Emmerdale looks like Miss Marple" etc.
"We apologise for loss of vision" appeared on the end credits of TV Burp tonight (ITV1). Did anyone have technical problems or did I miss an in-joke somewhere?

That's appeared before at the end of TV Burp (or at least another ITV show) and I'm pretty sure both occurences were a case of pressing the wrong button, as they pop up immediately before the 'Next' slide thing does.
