It's cataracts all over again. I think I prefer Harry taking the mick out of actual TV programmes rather than being responsible for some of their content but I guess this marks the end of the competition. Which would suggest I was right and it was just a way for them to plug the DVD mid-programme.

Or alternatively creates more opportunities for people to enter, whichever way you look at it.
Note that the competition states "If you spot the knitted character hidden in a TV show", it doesn't automatically mean it will only feature in one show that week and therefore as proven in the thread it's been all over the place this week. I wonder if every opportunity we've spotted would count, whether you see it on Graham Norton or the CBBC Office (though that defeats the whole point of a competition for over 16s to put it in a location predominately seen by under 12's).

I thought I was so clever to notice it on Something For The Weekend. I like the way it's popping up everywhere that is hasn't already been on though. Oddly enough when I saw it on Sunday I suggested to a colleague that we should mess up the competition by getting one and putting it on another programme

I think its brilliant. I do love how all the channels seem to want to take part in this show.

There's nothing else like it on TV.

And that knitted character is so cute I think I want one.

Yeah I posted the link on page three of this thread. Was available at the time, but now you have to join the mailing list.

How many of the shows the character features on have on-screen talent who have Avalon (who make Harry Hill) as their agents I wonder?

Avalon is both an independent producer and a talent agency.

Do you think it would be organised that casually? I'd have thought it would need to be arranged with the producer/director of each show rather than presenters/guests. It could mess up ITV1's competition if there wasn't a proper agreement in place, even if it was just verbal one. There needs to be someone to make sure the character was available on the correct day, placed on the set and the shot framed so that viewers can see it.

Could you trust a presenter to do it?

No - but if a presenter is the person who asks an Editor or Exec to do it it might have more welly than just an e-mail, phone call or letter from another company, at least in the first instance. I'm not suggesting that the presenters smuggle the knitted character on set - it is obviously approved.

(Adrian Chiles is represented by Avalon...)
