Watching TV Burp on STV now, but it seems to be an episode from weeks ago and not this week's. Hmm.

I can't understand STV's scheduling of TV Burp. It's all over the place! The same thing happened with the last series.

They've missed episodes out, and haven't being showing them in the correct order (this was especially true at the beginning of the series).

They repeated episode 1 (from 18th October) on 13th November, 2 weeks after repeating episode 2 (from 25th October) on 30th October!

It appears that the episode shown Saturday 20th, will be repeated on Monday 22nd at 8.00pm on all ITVplc Regions, can't say whether it'll be on STV or UTV, but I guess its likely.

VERY doubtful!

The repeat at 8pm on 22nd December is on every region, including STV and UTV.

A bit annoying for anyone who forked out for the DVD, but the next four episodes from Sunday are compilations of the best of previous series.

Not the first time that's happened, something on DVD gets pushed out and then it turns up on the telly. How do they justify RRP £20? Asda, Tesco, SendIt, £6.93. Amazon, £8.97. Play.com, £11.99. Or watch it on the telly three months after release for nothing. Or YouTube.

Did anyone catch tonight's The Best of Harry Hill's TV Burp on ITV1? As I haven't bought the DVD, I was unable to say whether the programme was a direct copy from this DVD. I could certainly tell there were some clips from some of the older series in there with the background coloured slightly differently and Harry seemed to be wearing 2 different pairs of glasses if you study it closely. Also, the end song must have been before TV Burp adopted the ITV generic end style credits when they used to drift along the bottom of the screen - which was a few years ago now. The clips of Harry at the beginning and just after the break were filmed just for the highlights show but everything else was from previous series.

Highlights included:-
TV High Voice Of The Week
High Fearnley Whittingstall
Burger Barry
Norwich's Mustard Shop

But it was an excellent show and will tune in next week to see the 2nd part. Anyone know about the DVD bit though?

It's not a direct rip of the DVD, for a start the 'Best of' titles are different, and the text is positioned in a different position. So its clearly a different production project from the team.

I realise this but apart from that, was everything else just copies from the DVD?

( Exclamation Interestingly, they showed clips of chatshows that Burger Barry had guested on (Harry dressed up) - in the original programme, Friday Night with Jonathan Ross was the 1st to be shown, followed by Frank Skinner etc... . Tonight though, Jonathan Ross had been edited out. Shame. Exclamation )

Nope. It seems it was a complete re-edit and production, featuring some clips already on the DVD, and one or two that aren't on it AFAIK.

So the clips WERE copies from the DVD but just jumbled up into a different order then? Laughing

Kind of, the DVD's best of features clips mainly from the past two series [excluding the current run], whilst I believe tonight's show went back further few series.

The number of badges and pens in his pocket also changed during the show too.

Definitely did go back quite a few series! Little Mo hasn't been in Eastenders since May 2006 and Harry Hill had hair in those days. Apparently, Burger Barry is NOT on the DVD from what I have just read elsewhere! Very Happy

Well:-
Arrow cos Harry usually says "bye - see you next week" at the end of each show with the generic end style ITV credits, but before this, he would have just done the song and then the endcap come on and no goodbye.
Arrow Also, the song was a lot longer than it is now - to allow the credits time to run at the bottom of the screen.

Therefore, that's why I said that Very Happy
