Well, I enjoyed TV Burp tonight... though I did find the Vera's coffin bit a tad distasteful. But that's just me.

That was a bit uncomfortable really - I think the main problem wasn't so much the use of the coffin, it's just what they did wasn't really funny.

I agree, I thought it was distateteful to "see what happens" behind the curtains of the crem - regardless of whether the funeral was real or not. It just wasn't funny and the "joke" was so drawn out we were all shaking our heads in disbelief.

The return of the guy from BB ruined another part.

Last night's show was the worst of the series so far, in fact pretty crap all round I thought. It does have very high standards to keep up so the odd blip I can forgive!

It's called alternative humour - laughing at the things you know you shouldn't - nothing wrong with it really - if it was a REAL person then fair enough but it was referring to Vera's funeral in Corrie so nothing to get all excited about.

Remember the Microwaved cat (was if from Hale and Pace?) all those years ago - uproar - but it was funny!

I am sure if you email ITV they will consider putting in some Knock Knock jokes to bring it more mainstream and please the offended Laughing

Alternative humour? I don't think you know the meaning of the term. It was far more "knock knock" than alternative - I wouldn't even really call it "black humour" (which I love) - it was a cheap coffin gag that scraped the barrel. I wasn't in the least bit offended - I thought it a bit sick - but I wasn't offended! Indeed, it made me smile at first - but then I thought, "what the hell are they doing here...?" It was a poor "joke" that was stretched out for far too long - that's what spoilt it.

Hale & Pace were fine for spotty teenage boys with low IQs.

Oh come on, it's just part of Harry Hill's "wacky" imagination, look at when he put the broccoli in the tray and said "if you look from above it looks like the end credits of Emmerdale".

Fair enough you didn't like it but it's hardly scraping the barrel or sick, it's been done before

I love Harry's wacky humour. For the reasons above I didn't think much to the coffin sketch though - that's my view. I'm not that upset about it, really! There were other very funny bits in last night's show, but overall it wasn't as good as normal.

Ah okay then fair enough Very Happy True it hasn't been as strong as last years but I presume this is more to do with the lack of good (or bad if you look at it another way) material on TV, Eastenders is there as is Star Psychic (or whatever it's called) but Nick Baker & Bear Gryllis have been missing so far. We need something right pony on so that he has a wealth of material.

Highlights for me last night:

* Helen Ledderer (sp)
* Most Uneven Eyebrows Of The Week
* Heather Hamster
* The FIIIIIIIIIIIIIIIIIGHT, which this year have been very odd indeed Laughing

Great show. Brian's bit was far too long, and loved Vera's coffin sketch. Jason Gardiner was a great sport wearing Holly's dress.

* - It's cataracts all over again lol Laughing

Oh you just reminded me Crying or Very sad I can't look at that picture of Holly in the same light again, although Harry already ruined that for me earlier in the show Laughing

Also forgot : Most Uneven Eyebrows Of The Week Laughing

A few recurring jokes so far with the Holly Willoughby and 'cataracts'.
