Was that a mock-up of the Eastenders titles? I seem to remember rumours of the Beeb stopping the sharing of EE clips to TV Burp, resulting in the showing of off-air VHS quality recordings for a while instead.

It was a mock up - for just the reasons you suggested I reckon.

But they had decent quality clips from EE itself in there.

He wasn't allowed clips of Eastenders in series 1, I remember it being a gag where he went to beeb with a hidden camera and offered greg dyke a twik if they could have the clips...

Didn't they used to rather poor quality off-air recordings? I assumed that was because they couldn't get them direct from the Beeb.

Do they legally need the Beeb's permission to use these clips? Isn't it covered under fair use or parody?

They used to show muffled clips off an old VHS tape.

Absolutely first class show this week. I laughed out loud several times - the mocked-up Eastenders scene in the launderette as a spoof of Mr Benn was a classic.

I missed it this week as well. (Went to see the Billy Elliot musical in the West End - very good it is too).

So what happened? When's it repeated? I hear Harry phoned Noel again. Laughing

It's getting a bit boring that.....Harry phoning Noel. Are we going to have this for the next 6 weeks? It wasn't even funny the first time round IMO. It was funny though when Harry revealed who the real banker was - Rita. DEAL!

Well, this week Harry took the mickey out of stuff that was on telly. Bit like always, really... but if you want specifics, the Deal or No Deal bit was hilarious Very Happy

It's got a repeat on Tuesday at 22:55 on ITV4. (I mean 2!)

But which is the better channel, ITV1 or ITV4? (I mean 2!) There's only way to settle it...

David

Edited to put the right channel in... what are the chances of that happening?!
